The inspiration for this original oil and cold wax on cradled wood was the fires in Estes Park last fall. It broke my heart to see all of the videos of the animals trying to get out harms way. When I started this painting, I just started with layers of colors until finally I had the idea of what to do with it. 18"x 24".
